This club has changed its name several times since we started it about six years ago. At first it was called Discovers and was open to young people 11+ years of age. However, the age grouping had to be changed because of large numbers coming and insufficient team members to help with a group of 30 plus young people.

The club was renamed Boomerang Club. This was the name given it by the new group of children when we reopened it after a break of six months. It was called Boomerang because they wanted to keep coming back! Unfortunately we had to close the club for another six months because of a lack of workers. The club reopened in September 2005 and was renamed The Wednesday Club. It caters for pupils in Year 7, many of whom have come up through our Monday Mayhem Club, 711 Club and our annual holiday club. Each evening costs £1. |

Each evening, while we are having refreshments, we sit round and talk about how the Christian faith relates to everyday life. The young people ask some amazing questions about God and how everything started and we try to answer their questions as best we can. They keep coming back each week so we hope and pray that the seed of God's word will be securely planted in their young lives.
